F.A.C.E.T.
base unit/DC fundamentals circuit/DC Ammeter

Name: John Raymond A. Alla

Section: A38

Date: January 27, 2018

Laboratory Instructor: W.A. Deveza

I.
Introduction

A.
F.A.C.E.T. base
unit

The Manual Base
Unit contains a total of 32 Circuit Modification (CM) and fault switches.
Students manually select CM switches as the course progresses, while the
protected fault switches are reserved for Instructor use by means of an integrated,
locking-cover assembly.

The FACET base
units provide voltage supply with protection and conditioning circuitry to run
each FACET board

unit

a.
The DC FUNDAMENTALS
circuit board connects to the base unit with the         ZIF             connector.

b.
A CW rotation
opens the ZIF connector: a CCW rotation locks the ZIF      connector.

c.
To verify the
operation of the + 1OV control on the base unit, you can measure      the variable power source on the OHM’S LAW
circuit block of the DC FUNDAMENTALS
circuit board.

B.
DC fundamentals
circuit

a.
LEDs become
brighter as more current f lows through a circuit.

b.
Apply power
to a circuit by placing a two-post connector between the energizing   test points in the circuit.

C.
DC Ammeter

a.
A basic 1 mA
full-scale meter movement can be used as an ammeter.

b.
You can use
a shunt resistor to extend the range of a 1 mA meter movement to      indicate a 10 mA full-scale circuit
current.

IV.
